1937 Super Eight Victoria Convertible
1937 Packard Super Eight Victoria Convertible
The Packard Motor Car Company turned out the best cars in the world, built to the highest standards of quality and engineering for over 50 years. This legendary Marque is the choice of top collectors all over the world over. No collection is complete without a Classic Era Packard. This rare example would make a fine addition to any collection and will garner quite a bit of attention at any meet.
Prior to arriving at The Burt Collection, this car was in the same family since the early ‘60s, making us just the third owner. Packard’s largest and most expensive 8-cylinder model, the Super Eight was substantially redesigned for the 1937 model year. The specification was modernized with hydraulic brakes and independent front suspension, while the new car’s more manageable size and lighter weight improved performance. The car was also streamlined, as was fashionable at the time, with a raked radiator. While most examples were in more conservative body styles, a few were the glamorous Convertible Coupe available here.
