1957 Chevrolet Corvette

A beautiful example of “Chevy’s first sports car,” this is a true resto-mod 1957 Corvette.  Everything on the car is new or rebuilt.  She drives and rides beautiful and is perfect as a collectible or driver.  The theme of the restoration was to make it look original, but run and handle like a newer ‘Vette.  We think we accomplished that.

This first generation Corvette was introduced late in the 1953 model year and ended in 1962.  However there was no doubt that Chevrolet was in the sports car business with the release of the 1956 model.  Visually the 1957 model was a near-twin, but it was differentiated by improvements to the engine.  Pushed toward high-performance and racing, principally by Zora Arkus-Duntov who had raced in Europe, 1957 Corvettes could be ordered ready-to-race with special options.
