1957 Almquist Sabre II

Now here is a rare car. Once available in the back of Motor Trend Magazines, this Almquist Sabre II is indeed unusual. Made completely of fiber-glass and seated on a Kaiser chassis, this car embodied the burgeoning interest in American-made sports cars in the 1950s. Somewhat late to the fiber-glass game, this car was sold as a kit – and assembled – presumably, in your garage. the lines are reminiscent of Speed Racer’s Mach 5 – or the Batmobile – but she’ll make a great finished product.
