1968 Corvette 427
1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427
1968 was a departure year, in terms of styling, for the Chevrolet Corvette as the world was introduced to the new “Shark” styling. Derived from the “Mako Shark” show car, this Corvette immediately made all previous ‘Vettes look antiquated. Its aggressive style is perhaps the most recognized Corvette by many of us Baby Boomers. They could be ordered in a variety of engine configurations, each with more horsepower. Our car is the “Big Block” 427 cubic-inch monster with 390 horsepower. She rumbles for sure.
