1968 Microbus
1968 VW Microbus
Who doesn’t love a “Luvbus.” In fact, if you see the license plates, that is exactly what we named our 1968 VW Microbus. It’s a miracle that these buses were legal for driving on public roads. Your knees, while driving, were literally touching the sheetmetal in the front of the car (YOU were the airbag in case of accident). There were no seatbelts, sharp edges were abundant, and they were painfully slow. I was passed by a 10-speed bike on the way over here. Regardless, they are iconic and loved. Besides, in the 1960′s what was the rush and where were we going? To the mall or drive-in?
