thanks for this posting. I am Orly’s only and younger brother (7 years). I introduced Brother to racing because I bought a Cad Allard J2X, complete with red alligator upholsery. We raced it one summer and Brother volunteered to be crew chief. That hooked him, much as Mr. Toad in Toad Hall. I sold my car to jerry Hanson who also used it as his intro to sport car racing. Jerry had tons of money and campaigned for many years, moving up in cost and quiality of cars. Have no idea what Jerry did with my J2X. But the point is that Allard started two well known SCCA drivers to the thrill of racing. DFT

I love the leather bonnet straps, it’s a must on any vintage car!

I have a 1996 Porsche Carrera 2 that I desire to store over the winter time, say from Thanksgiving weekend through March 1, weather permitting. I did a cars and cigars at your facility a couple of months ago. I’d like to inquire about availability and cost. I use a battery maintainer and have a car cover. I would not need in-and-out privileges. Thank you. Tom.

I have a 1938 19 Custom Runabout with the original Chrysler M-2. Hull # 48320. Yours is the only other one I have come across with the Chrysler. Just curious, I could never find out exactly how much oil to put in and I dont have the correct dipstick. I was having oil pressure issues but seem to have it taken care of now and running 40 LBS at idle. What is your hull #

Thanks for the reply. We truly loved restoring #1739 to it’s previous glory. Although we changed the color, we did strive for complete originality. John Harden provided the original three speed Ford transmission – a 40 gallon endurance tank, as well as, the torque tube and radiator.

I couldn’t locate the center cap for the wheel, although we still have it – and will make the change once we find a cap.

Any ideas?
