1951 J2
1951 Allard J2
The Allard J2 is an English Sports car that dominated many national and international races due to its light weight and the addition of a large American V8 motor. Many famous race car drivers (Bill Pollack, Erwin Goldschmidt, Mike Graham, Sam Weiss, John Gordon Bennet and John Fitch) can claim to have raced one in the 50′s. In fact, the founder of Allard was an experienced racing driver who raced cars at Le Mans and the Mille Miglia. Only 200 Allard J2s were ever made. They had a 10′ wheelbase and weighed only 1,700 pounds.
