1952 K2
1952 Allard K2
In 1952, Allard Motor Cars made only 119 K2s, so she is indeed, a rare car. We found this car in Rochester, New York and purchased it from a man named Sam Spring. He had had this Allard in his garage since 1965. The condition of the car was poor, mostly apart and in boxes. However, virtually everything we required to do a proper restoration was included in the sale. It took us 9 months to bring her to back to her current condition.
The color was originally red with a green interior (very English, I might add) and we decided that wouldn’t do. So we tested its current yellow paint scheme and thought that it brought many of the subtle lines of the car to attention. She is called a Cadillac Allard as she was originally fitted with a 1952 Cadillac 331 cubic inch motor. The two, four barrel carburetors were added later (probably in the late 50′s) to improve performance.
